Mobile Testing as a Service on Clouds
computing leads an opportunity in delivering testing as a service (TaaS)
for SaaS and applications on clouds. This brings new business
opportunities, challenges, and demands on innovative software testing
service models, testing techniques, QoS standards, and requirements. With
the recent significant increase of the mobile user population, more mobile
app stores, mobile applications, and mobile SaaS systems drive an emergent
demand, and lead future trend in mobile computing and mobile cloud
keynote presentation covers different
perspectives of mobile testing as a service (MTaaS) on clouds, including
concepts, motivations, benefits, test environments, requirements, and
features. Meanwhile, it presents a classification of different types of
approaches and services in MTaaS, and offers a clear comparative view
between conventional mobile testing service and MTaaS on clouds. Moreover,
it summarizes and compares the current mobile testing approaches and major
players. Furthermore, it discusses some possible solutions in MTaaS, in
test modeling, multi-tenancy and scalability testing, and test automation.
it examines underlying issues, challenges, and emergent needs, and
discusses future research directions in TaaS and Mobile TaaS.
